If you’ve been getting back into island life since Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ huge Version 2.0 update, or even if you’ve been playing religiously since launch, you’ll want to make sure you load up the game today and join in the fun. Why? Because it’s Turkey Day!

Yes, coinciding with America’s Thanksgiving holiday each year, Turkey Day is a day of celebration in the Animal Crossing universe. Taking place today only (25th November), these celebrations include a special feast, a special character arrival, and some great rewards for players who take part.

The event runs from 6am to 10pm – you’ll know it’s happening thanks to the special Thanksgiving-themed music playing on your island and the sudden appearance of Franklin the Turkey at Resident Services.
